  13. Background:  The background is an original. Its actually my
  14. second attempt; though its the first one I've used on a course
  15. that's been distributed to the public.
  16.  
  17. Objects:     The objects are a mixture of some originals, some
  18. borrowed and some modified. Quite frankly, with the apparent free
  19. usage of most of the objects by the many JNSE designers it has
  20. become very difficult to determine who the original artists are.
  21. I know I've borrowed objects from Gene Rodriguez III, Ted Maiden,
  22. Dave Dykeman, Scott Chesney, Phil McCloud and Lee Ritze. Thank you
  23. for the use and thank you for your creativity.

  25. Special thanks to Bill Claybourn for play testing Avalon Woods and
  26. the other JNSE designs I have released.

  30. Avalon Woods is an original design, located somewhere south of
  31. Annapolis, Maryland. if you look real hard at an Anne Arundel
  32. County map, you might find it near the West River. Actually Avalon
  33. Woods can be anywhere along the east coast!

  35. I want to thank the folks at the PNGT for considering this
  36. design. They originally played, and I assume enjoyed, my
  37. latest design ' Cut and Shoot Golf Ranch'. They liked it,
  38. so here's Avalon Woods.

  55. Avalon is tough but fair. This holds true with most of my course
  56. designs. Some will not agree, but we all have our own opinions.

  58. For those that seen my other designs, Avalon Woods has been toned
  59. down considerably. The greens are much fairer and so are the
  60. traditional landing areas in the fairway. If you try to out drive
  61. these areas, you may find yourself in trouble or at least you'll
  62. have to scramble to make par. During the play testing the course,
  63. at least to me, played easier than previous designs... no I haven't
  64. improved that much... in fact, my abilities are closer to hacker,
  65. than shark!
